Frequently Asked Questions
What is my time commitment?

Most volunteer positions are either morning or early afternoon. Check our Volunteer Descriptions Page for more details.

What is the website address to sign up to volunteer?
We release that information in the month before the ride to those on our mailing list. To join our mailing list please Contact our Volunteer Captain.

What if I've forgotten my password for the online volunteer signup?
Contact our Volunteer Captain who will reset your password.

How do I sign up for the same volunteer position I did last year?
Volunteer sign-ups are on a first come first served basis. Please sign up early!

Are the T-shirts in mens or womens sizes?

The T-shirts are Unisex so, basically, they are mens sizes.

Do I have to attend training?
Training is mandatory for all volunteer positions except for food distribution. If you can attend training but your friend cannot, your friend can sign up for food distribution.

May I bring a friend who has not attended a mandatory training meeting?
Yes, please go to the Volunteer Check-In under the tent and we'll find a way for your friend to help out.

May I bring my child or friends' child to the ride?
Yes. If you are bringing someone under 21 who is not your child, you must bring a signed and notarized Minor Release Form. Download one here.

May I bring my dog to the ride?
Service dogs only are allowed.

What do I bring with me to the ride?
Bring a smile and wear your new volunteer T-shirt.

Is there a place where I can set my personal belongings down?
We recommend you bring as little as possible with you as we have no secure location for valuables.

I will be riding in the ride, can I still volunteer?
Yes. Volunteer positions are marked for riders and non-riders. Please sign up for a riding volunteer position. Volunteers who will be riding in the event are expected to pay their registration fees.

I don't ride a motorcycle, can I still volunteer?
Absolutely! Once you see all the fun, maybe we can even convince you to start riding! (It's addictive, you know)

Where do I park?
Whether you are in a car or on a motorcycle, our parking team will let you know where to park when you arrive.

Where do I go when I arrive at the ride?
Stop by Volunteer Check-In at the thent entrance first.

I have a sidecar on my motorcycle. Do you need any additional VIP escorts?
Yes. We’re always looking for sidecars that are used as patient and family escorts. We also welcome trikes for the older patients and family. To register, please Contact our Patient Family Liaison.

What if I'm coming down with a cold?
We leave that decision up to you. However, if you are volunteering with Patient Family or are a VIP Escort, we ask that you send us your regrets or change your volunteer position to not working directly with the kids.

What if I need to cancel last minute
Contact our Volunteer Captain.

I can't attend that day but would like to donate. Where do I do that?
You may send a check made out to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation or donate online. Please contact the webmaster for the mailing address.
